"Ivan Franko and Universities" Exhibit Hall

The hall exhibits materials of the late 19th century: pictures of Lviv University where Ivan Franko studied (1875–1877, 1878–1879); of Chernivtsi University where he studied between 1890–1891; and the University of Vienna where Franko got his PhD for the thesis Barlaam and Josaphat – Old Christian Spiritual Novel and Its Literary History.

Valuable exhibits include the first poetic collection by Ivan Franko Ballads and Stories (1876), a copy of Druh magazine, which was the first to publish poetic and prose works of the young writer, Dnistryanka almanach where short stories and Boa Constrictor by Ivan Franko were published.

The walls are decorated with portraits of Ivan Franko painted by I. Trush, Z. Pavliukh, and V. Savin.
