The silver spoon gifted to Ivan Franko by his wife Olha Khoruzhynska on their wedding day. On 4 May 1886, Ivan Franko wedded Olha Khoruzhynska at the Chapel of St. Apostles Peter and Paul by the Collegium of Pavlo Galagan in Kyiv. That was the start of their family and artistic union as Olha was not only his faithful wife and mother of his four children, but also Franko's advisor and assistant in his publishing and translation activities.

The exhibit was transferred to the museum by their daughter Anna Franko-Kliuchko.
