Franko as text: Research and experience

A book by Bohdan Tykholoz, a well-known Franko studies scholar and the director of the Franko House, is an interim summary of his long-term research on various aspects of Ivan Franko’s life and work. More than a hundred multi-genre texts (articles, reviews, overviews, polemical speeches, interviews etc.), written and published within 1996-2021, united not only by a unique author’s conception, but also by his conscious attitude on the systematic development of the integral Franko studies: multidisciplinary, multi-genre, polymethodological and simultaneously based on reliable sources and facts. The publication, aimed not only at literary scholars-philologists but also at humanities professionals from related fields and a wide range of interested readers, synthesizes individual research experience of “stereometric” specialized reading of the multifaceted works of the writer, thinker, and publicist, as well as his “external” and “internal” biography, contexts, and intertexts of his dramatic creative life.
